In “Jujutsu Kaisen: Shibuya Incident” (Season 2), Fushiguro summoned Makora in a way that was almost like a suicide attack, and Sukuna ultimately sealed Makora away, but many fans were surprised by his overwhelming fighting power.

A giant shikigami of the “Jusyukage Houjutsu” technique handed down by the Zen’in family, one of the three great families in the world of sorcery. It is the strongest shikigami that no one has been able to subdue until now. It can be summoned by chanting the exorcism prayer “Furube Yura Yura.” It has the unfair abilities of “Demon-Exorcising Sword” and “Adaptation.”
A sword located in Makyora’s right arm that is specialized for dealing with cursed spirits. It has the same positive energy as the inversion technique, and is extremely effective against cursed spirits. It is also capable of wrapping itself in the opposite negative energy. Combined with his own fighting ability, it is a very troublesome sword.
Makora’s greatest characteristic and evil ability is “adaptation to any event.” Whenever he experiences an opponent’s attack or defense, a square above Makora’s head rotates like a ship’s rudder to adapt.
Once an attack has been adapted, it will never work on Makora again. If Makora’s attack is blocked, it will adapt to the method of blocking and launch a more effective attack. (The above-mentioned Demon-Slaying Sword also adapts when it is enveloped in negative energy.) Rather than nullifying the target, it is a cheating ability that adapts by moving in a way that makes it ineffective or by changing itself. It also recovers damage taken by the target it has adapted to.
For complex targets, such as Gojo’s Infinite Void and Infinite Curse, multiple attacks must be received and analyzed, but Makora has extraordinary toughness, so the longer the fight goes on, the more difficult it becomes to defeat him. To defeat him, you must either kill him in one hit without giving him a chance to adapt, or overwhelm him with an attack that he cannot keep up with.
The first time it was used in the series was during the Shibuya Incident, when Fushiguro was attacked by Shigeo Haruta. The Ten Shadows Technique requires a ritual of subjugation to control the shikigami. This ritual usually has to be performed by the caster alone, and the caster must defeat the target using a shikigami other than the target’s shikigami.
However, since it is nearly impossible to subjugate a Makora, it has been used to kill the opponent along with the person himself (the ritual can be started by multiple people, but even if the person is defeated, it does not count as subjugation).
Makora is unleashed in Shibuya and defeats Fushiguro with his might, but is sealed away by Sukuna, who senses his presence.
After taking possession of Fushiguro’s body, Sukuna masters the Ten Shadows technique and uses it to subdue Makora and fight Gojo.
Makora was dispatched to Sukuna as a countermeasure team for Gojo’s Infinite Curse, and they fought 2 against 1. Sukuna also summoned the Shikigami “Kyoto Beast Agito”, a combination of “Nue” and “Kon”, to fight in a 3 against 1 configuration.

しかし、宿儺は魔虚羅が無下限呪術に適応した方法を観察しており、その手法を真似して自身も適応してみせ、五条を破ったのでした。
