This time, the second of the official interviews that will be released in succession has arrived! The second interview is with Saito Soma, who plays Tsurumaru Kuninaga.

Q: Regarding the anime “Touken Ranbu Kai -Ten Den: The Samurai Close by” (hereafter “Ten Den”), what was your impression of the story after reading the script? What points did you find interesting?
Saito Soma, voice of Tsurumaru Kuninaga (hereafter, Saito): “Not just this time, but the impression I get is that the work itself, Touken Ranbu, depicts the stories that each character carries with them very carefully. Different characters are featured in each episode, but in this episode, Hasebe is the one that really stuck in my mind.”
Q: What is your impression of the characters in this work? What are the differences from the TV anime “Touken Ranbu Kai – Kyoden Moyuru Honnoji-” and what new charms do you find in the characters? Also, was there anything you paid particular attention to when playing the characters in this work?
Saito: “I didn’t take any special approach just because it was for this production.
Tsurumaru shows different expressions for each Honmaru, but I think his core remains the same. I hope I was able to convey his charm exactly as it is depicted in the script.”
–Please tell us what the highlights of “Den” are and what scenes you are looking forward to.
Saito: “I think that everyone will have to watch the film and find their favorite scenes. Personally, I felt a sense of frustration and warmth in the way the characters traveled back in time and agonized over how much they could save from the people of that time.”
