It has been announced that “Given: To the Sea,” the second part of the two-part film series that concludes the “Given” series, will be released on Friday, September 20th .
The official trailer and poster visuals were released on July 15th, which is Marine Day, in keeping with the title of the film, “To the Sea.” The theme song has been decided to be “Yugen” by Centimillimental.
▲Released poster visual
The newly released poster visual depicts Mafuyu with his eyes slightly downcast, along with Rika, Haruki, and Akihiko standing as if waiting for him.
In the final scene of the first part, “Given the Movie Hiiragi Mix,” Mafuyu mutters, “Huh? How did I sing then?” Meanwhile, in the streets of Shibuya, there are large advertisements for Hiiragi and Gensumi of the band “syh,” who have already made their major debut, and Ugetsu, a professional violinist, which contrast with Mafuyu, who stands still.
What kind of future will Mafuyu and Ritsuka, as well as Haruki and Akihiko, who work together as “Given”, each have? The visuals show the ending you won’t want to miss.
The trailer shows Mafuyu’s anguish, as he feels “left behind by everyone else” and before he knows it, he seems to reject music and forget how to sing.
Ritsuka decides to face Mafuyu in her own way, which is music, and completes a certain song that Yuki left behind.
The video also shows Ritsuka, who usually plays the guitar and doesn’t sing, singing into the microphone, and Ugetsu calling out to Mafuyu. What decision will Mafuyu make with the support of those around him?
This is the final installment of the anime series. High expectations are building for the touching conclusion that unfolds as the characters grow bit by bit, despite their own worries.
The theme song will be sung by Centimillimental, who debuted with the single “Kizuato,” the opening theme for the TV anime “Given,” and has been a constant companion to the “Given” series! It has been decided that the series will conclude with “Yuigon,” a song that is dear to Centimillimental’s Atsushi.
Nine years ago, when I fell in love with someone so much that my heart nearly burst, I thought to myself, “I don’t want them to forget me.”
Even if they are united, they will inevitably part, and even if they stay together, the end will inevitably come and separate them.
I realized that meeting someone meant eventually parting ways, and I felt terribly lonely. I wondered how I could make this love, this relationship, last forever, and wrote a song about it.
At the very least, I hope that my music will remain.
Since then, I have played this song with care and it has become a song that is like my life itself.
“Conclusion”
I dedicate this song to Given, a truly important story that has greatly changed my life.
Singing everything from joy to sadness.
A solo project by Atsushi, who is responsible for all aspects of songwriting, arranging, singing, piano, guitar, and programming .

Released on Friday, September 20, 2024!
After meeting Sato Mafuyu, Uenoyama Ritsuka’s passion for music was rekindled.
With Mafuyu’s singing and Ritsuka’s guitar, the band “Given” is starting to move, but when Mafuyu’s past and feelings for Ritsuka start to intersect once again, the distance between the two begins to grow again.
The original work is “Given,” which was serialized in “Cheri+” (published by Shinshokan) by Kizu Natsuki starting in 2013.
The first BL comic to be adapted into an anime was broadcast on Fuji TV’s “Noitamina” in 2019, followed by the first film in the series, “Given the Movie,” in 2020.
This hugely popular youth band story was made into a live-action drama and a stage play the following year in 2021.
The long-awaited anime sequel, the first part of a two-part film series, “Given the Movie: Hiiragi Mix,” will be released in January 2024, and the second part, “Given the Movie: To the Sea,” will be released on September 20, 2024.
