“Mio is on the Floor Below” is a youth love story based on a webtoon produced in Korea, and is currently being distributed in Japan on LINE Manga. The story begins when Sugiura Haru, who has been accepted into university and is now living alone, meets Kisaragi Mio, a former idol who lives on the floor below him in his lodgings. Mio is shrouded in mystery; one moment she
acts aggressively towards Haru, and the next she approaches him, saying she wants to be friends. In addition to Mio, there are Shinju, who tries to keep a certain distance from Haru while always smiling, and Mikuni Sara, a senior at a group date who has just broken up with her boyfriend, with whom she met at a group date. The story depicts Haru’s youth with these three heroines.
The Korean drama version of “Lee Doona!” is also a hot topic as it is being distributed on Netflix, and the anime version was a hit when it was distributed on the Chinese distribution platform “bilibili”, recording 60 million views. The
Japanese dubbed version, which will be broadcast from July 3rd, will feature Maaya Sakamoto as Kisaragi Mio, Keisuke Kawamoto as Sugiura Haru, Rumi Okubo as Momoi Shinju, and Manami Numakura as Mikuni Sara.
