The visual depicts Lum sitting cross-legged, with characters from the series such as Ataru, Shinobu, Mendou, Sakuranbo, Sakura, Ranrei, Oyuki, Benten, Ten, Ryunosuke, Ryunosuke’s father, and Kotatsu Neko at her feet, with their characteristic expressions and gestures.
After doing some research, I found out that the audition was in January 2021. The role was decided and recording began at the end of that year… At the time, I thought it was a long journey until the final episode, but I never imagined that the final episode would finally air…!
As expected, time flew by. I think that just shows how fulfilling our time was!
I was happy to be involved in my favorite “Urusei Yatsura”! I’m grateful to everyone involved in the production! And Ataru, thank you so much! Ah! It was fun!!
I’m really, really happy to have been able to play Lum-chan for four seasons! I’m so happy! I’m sad that it’s the last episode, but I’m once again honored to have been able to play my beloved Lum-chan all the way through to “Boy Meets Girl.”
I became obsessed with “Urusei Yatsura” when I found out about the anime on reruns, and collected the original comics and merchandise, and had many favorite characters since my school days. My love for Lum-chan has not changed. Lum-chan is cute, loyal, jealous, a little mysterious, and the strongest. I never thought the day would come when I would be able to be close to her as a cast member.
Since passing the audition and starting the recording, I have been spending happy, fun days like in a dream. The anime series has now reached its conclusion, but I sincerely hope that I will have the opportunity to voice Lum again…! I want to be in top condition for that day!
Once again, thank you so much to everyone who has always loved “Urusei Yatsura” and to everyone who has discovered “Urusei Yatsura” through this anime.
I believe that Urusei Yatsura is a work that will be read and handed down through generations for decades, even centuries.

“Urusei Yatsura” is the debut series of Rumiko Takahashi, who is still active at the forefront of her field. To commemorate the 100th anniversary of Shogakukan’s founding, selected episodes from the original series have been adapted into a TV anime series over four seasons!
(1st season: 2 seasons starting October 2022, 2nd season: 2 seasons starting January 2024)
The directors are Takahashi Hideya and Kimura Yasuhiro, who worked on “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind,” the series is written by Kakihara Yuko, who worked on “Cells at Work,” the character designer is Asano Naoyuki, who worked on “Mr. Osomatsu” and “Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!”, and the animation is handled by david production, who worked on the “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure” series and “Fire Force.” The roles of the rare couple of the main character, “Darling,” Ataru Moroboshi, and the heroine, Lum, are played by Kamiya Hiroshi and Uesaka Sumire.
