–Please tell us your honest feelings now that you have finished dubbing for “Omura Family Dear Friends.”
Emiri Kato (hereinafter, Kato), who plays Sakurako Omuro: This time, it was great that we were able to do the voice recording together with the three sisters and the cast of Himawari. In the previous “Omuro Family Dear Sisters,” I was able to record with Rina (Hidaka), but I was able to record separately with Chiwa Saito and Suzuko Mimori. I was able to feel the relationship and atmosphere between the sisters.
Chiwa Saito (hereinafter, Saito), who plays Omura Nadeshiko: As expected, it went much smoother when we all recorded together. Nadeshiko is not the type to show her emotions that much, so when I’m doing it alone, I tend to be indifferent. So, with the two of them next to me, it was easier to get into the right mood, especially when it was time to make a tsukkomi.
Rina Hidaka (Hidaka), voice of Hanako Omuro: I was also very happy to be able to do the post-recording with everyone. This time there are many scenes with Nadeshiko and her friends, but it was fun to speculate during breaks about whether Nadeshiko might have a boyfriend.
Saito: “This kid is definitely suspicious!”
–If Nadeshiko has a boyfriend among her close friend group of Sonokawa Megumi, Miwa Ai, and Yaeno Miho, it’s a question that many are curious about.
Hidaka: I somehow thought it was Ai since the previous work “dear sisters”. This time, a scene that bothered me in the original work is included, so seeing it like this, I felt Ai was suspicious again.
Kato: But I think Miho is pretty suspicious too.
Hidaka: There are many scenes where Miho looks like that. But even though it seems unlikely, maybe it’s actually Megumi?
Saito: It’s a mystery-style theory that the least suspicious person is actually… In my mind, the Megumi theory has emerged because she is the most similar to Sakurako. Nadeshiko is fond of Sakurako no matter what, and Misakichi also seems like Sakurako. Hmm, but I still don’t know!
— The chaotic lives of elementary school girls Nadeshiko, Himawari, Hanako and the others are still alive and well in this episode.
Kato: This time, there was quite a lot of interaction between Sakurako and Himawari. Himawari comes to the Omuro house quite often, and Nadeshiko naturally lets Himawari into the house. There were many times when I thought Himawari was so cute.
Hidaka: Hanako became close with Misakichi (Takasaki Misaki) in the previous work, but I thought that the distance between them became even closer. Sakurako also joins the elementary school team, and the way of tsukkomi to Sakurako and tsukkomi to friends will be slightly different, so I did it while thinking about how it would be if it was a family.
Saito: Sakurako and Hanako’s relationships with their friends change, but Hanako’s relationships with her friends change. Even if you look at her from the outside, you can tell right away that something has happened. But Nadeshiko’s in a good mood is easy to see, but even if she’s a little depressed, she doesn’t show it at home. She’s an adult.
加藤：変化といえば、今回は櫻子にもちょっと成長を感じました。毎晩誰かと電話をしている撫子姉ちゃんに気遣う瞬間があるんです。ご機嫌な姉ちゃんにも気づいていたし、櫻子も鈍感なようで意外と察しているんですよね。
──2作を通して、『大室家』にどんな魅力を感じましたか。
加藤：家族や友だちへの愛って言葉にしづらいものですけど、『大室家』は言葉では伝わらない感情を表現していて素敵だなって思います。もちろん見る人によって違う解釈、いろんな受け取り方もできますし、見るたびに新しい感情が芽生える作品だなと思いました。
斎藤：大事件が起きるわけではないけれど、日常の中で誰しもが体験するちょっとしたこと#### ──寂しくなったり苦しくなったりしても、周りの人がちゃんと見てくれる、助けてくれる。あなたのことを思っている人はちゃんといるよと教えてくれる作品ですね。人間として浄化されます。
日高：可愛いというのは前提としてずっとあるんですけど、それだけじゃなく、家族や友だちへの愛情を丁寧に表現していますよね。「こうあるべき」ではなく、さりげなく描くところにも温かさを感じます。これを映画館で観られるってとても贅沢ですよね。
──『大室家 dear friends』を待ってくださっているファンの方々にメッセージをお願いします。
日高：前作『dear sisters』で完成披露や舞台挨拶などを行って、初めて花子役としてファンの皆さんとお会いしたんですが、この日を待っていたよっていうファンのみなさんの思いをすごく感じましたし、きっと『dear friends』も絶対に楽しんでくれるはずです！ そしてやっぱり撫子お姉ちゃんの恋人が誰なのかはみなさんも気になると思いますので、また舞台挨拶などがあればぜひみなさんに聞いてみたいですね。
斎藤：原作で「ここをアニメでやってほしいな」と思っていたところが全部入っていたので、ぜひ楽しみにしていただきたいです。映画って観に行くのにパワーが必要な時がありますが、『大室家』は、元気がないときに観ると「明日もがんばろう」と思える作品だと思います。また元気をチャージしてくれたら嬉しいです。
加藤：前作『dear sisters』に続き今回も、人に優しくする気持ち、周りから優しくされている喜びを実感できる作品になっています。今回は高校生キャラクターとのやり取りや、撫子姉ちゃんの恋人推理もできますからね。櫻子もめちゃくちゃ気になっているみたいですし（笑）、考察を重ねつつ、何度も観て癒やされてほしいです。楽しみにしてください！
