After the PR stage started, Anzai called out to the audience, “Who knows ‘Where is the End Train Going?'” Almost everyone watching the stage raised their hands, and Anzai and Kino couldn’t hide their joy.
Afterwards, the two were asked about their memories of the Seibu Line. Kino-san, who is from Saitama, reminisced about going to Seibuen Amusement Park many times since he was a child. On the other hand, Anzai-san said that although he had used the line before, he didn’t know much about it, so he learned a lot about it through “Where is the End of the World Train Going?”
After the introduction of the work, we will look back at the stations that appeared in the work and the events that occurred at each. This work is a story about a person who takes a train from Agano to Ikebukuro to visit his best friend who has gone missing in a world where strange things have occurred due to the 7G incident. The influence of 7G was tremendous, and in Agano, where Shizuru and his friends lived, humans turned into animals, and in the neighboring Higashiagono, humans appeared with mushrooms growing on them.
The strange happenings at each station are named after the station or reflect the local specialty or characteristics of the station. For example, at Koma Station, a giant carrot attacks the character, and the PR stage speculates that this is a reference to Korean ginseng. In addition, it was mentioned that there really was a goat at Musashi Yokote Station, where the train was rammed by a goat-man, and that the actual switchback at Hanno Station also appeared in the story.
On the PR stage, there was also a moment where they looked back on their memories of dubbing. The two commented that the amount of dialogue was nearly twice as much as in the dubbing of other works, and the tempo was faster. He also said that he was looking forward to receiving the script every time because the developments were so unpredictable.
At the end of the PR stage, the two gave a speech, saying, “We were touched to see so many fans of our work. It’s a work that can be enjoyed over and over again, so please watch it again and again,” as they left the stage.
The story takes place on the Seibu Railway, where a stamp rally for the TV anime “Where is the End Train Going?” is currently being held.
