The personality from January to June 2024 will be Hana Shimano, who plays Himari Kino in “Whispering Love”. This time, we interviewed Mr. Shimano after finishing the radio recording! We asked her about her impressions after serving as a personality for six consecutive months, episodes related to the rainy season, and the new catchphrase created in the new corner.
ーーThis will be your last recording as a personality for “Lashinban Radio”, which you served for half a year. Please tell us your impressions after recording.
Hana Shimano (hereinafter referred to as Shimano): I often hear that a year seems to pass quickly when you become an adult, but the past six months have truly flown by. At the first recording, I was so nervous that I couldn’t remember what I said as it was my first time being a radio personality, but by the end I was happy that I was able to relax and have fun talking.
–In the mini corner “I grew up too!”, you talked about your memories from the past six months under the title “My Personality”. Are there any memorable episodes?
Shimano: I remember the episode in which Kana Ichinose appeared. It was my first time hosting a guest as a personality, and it was also my first time meeting my girlfriend, Ichinose-san, so I was full of anxiety and nervousness. However, in the end, we were able to liven up the episode with fantasy stories about Harry Potter'' and The Prince of Tennis,” and I think it became a memorable episode for both me and the listeners. .
Also, this is a personal matter, but I mentioned that there was only one charger cord in the “Nakanani for going out bags!?”, but I bought one in the last six months (lol).
- (laughs). Have you ever looked back over the past six months and realized that you have grown?
Shimano: I guess it’s because I’ve become able to develop the story in an orderly manner. Up until now, I had never had the opportunity to talk on my own or introduce things around me, so I was wondering how the voice actors around me were training their speaking skills. There’s no place to learn about hosting or radio personalities. So I thought I had no choice but to give it a try, and that’s exactly what I did, and I was able to grow greatly by accumulating experience.
My mother says that I often go off topic, but I feel like that is slowly getting better. From now on, I would like to make the ability to expand on stories in an orderly manner to be my charm.
–In the last interview, you said that you wanted to end the story in a way that would get people interested in you, and it looks like you’ll be able to accomplish that successfully.
Shimano: I’m not very confident though (lol). At the advance screening of Whispering Love'', there were some people who became interested through Lashinban Radio”, so the final recording will also leave an impact so that more people can come like that. I recorded it with this in mind.
–In the “Daily Life of Shimano Hana!” corner, you talked about memories and episodes from the rainy season, and how to spend a rainy day at home under the theme of “June’s ‘Rainy’ Story Diary.”
Shimano: I don’t like the rainy season because I feel gloomy when the sky is cloudy. However, this year I’m thinking of buying a stylish umbrella and having fun going out. And rain shoes too…
–When your shoes get wet or dirty, you feel less excited.
Shimano: That’s right! Therefore, I would like to buy rain shoes that can be worn on both sunny and rainy days and enjoy going out during the rainy season.
- That’s wonderful. Have you decided how to spend your time at home?
嶋野：最近ハマっていたゲームが終わっちゃったんですよね。なので、『ホグワーツ・レガシー』を買おうか悩んでいます。途中で止まると飽きて離れちゃうタイプなので、連日部屋にいられるこの時期に一気にクリアしたいです。
あとは、具材が盛りだくさんで作業工程が多い料理をするのもいいかな。先日も友達とタコスパーティーをしたんですよ。タコスミートやアボカドソースなどを全部作って、みんなで一緒に巻いて食べるんですけど、これがまた楽しいし、美味しくて。時間がかかる料理を、外で遊べない雨の日に作ることで、家で過ごす時間も素敵なものに変わると思います。
