Thirteen years ago, a battle for survival between the monster and the Great Corps suddenly began. However, this battle was actually a farce; the hideout had long since fallen, the Phantom executives had been annihilated, and the remaining lowly combatants, the Dusters, had made a secret pact with the Great Corps to invade the ground every weekend and be defeated and scattered. This work is set in a situation in which a person is forced to repeatedly engage in “Sunday battles.”
In the first episode’s “Sunday Battle”, the main character, fighter D (CV: Yusuke Kobayashi), takes on the Ryujin Sentai Dragon Keeper alone and is completely blown away. Fighter F (CV: Yasuto Saka) is worried about D, who has not returned to the floating castle, and descends to the ground alone.
However, he is soon discovered by the Red Unit of the Great Corps, and the Red Keeper appears before him.
However, against Combatant F, who was just looking for Combatant D, the Red Keeper points at the traitor, his most powerful weapon, a divine tool, saying, “You’re the bad guy,” because he broke the agreement.
Although combatants are immortal, if they are defeated by a “sacred tool,” they die completely.
Faced with such death, Combatant F says, “The monster must be a bad guy who came to invade the earth to make an agreement and receive the cheers of the citizens.”
In his final moments, he decides to fight as a villain and confronts the Red Keeper.
Combatant F is defeated in an instant, as if it were a given, but he dies with a satisfied voice saying, “I fought and lost.I feel better today than these 13 meaningless years.”
According to the agreement, it is decided that the monster side will lose in the “Sunday Battle”.
The scene where Combatant F, who said he didn’t feel bad after being told to “do your best” by the citizens, fights and leaves, has an indescribably sad ending, and there are many voices of sadness towards F on social media. It was sent to me.
At the advance screening held the other day, Yusuke Kobayashi, who plays the main character, Combatant D, said, “As the combatants think about how to overcome the decisive battle next Sunday, fighting is not entertainment. For combatant D, F is the only one who stands by D, who has the idea that he wants to conquer, and even though he was supposed to be in a neutral position, he fights properly at the end and loses. I really like it because I think it was an important turning point.”
