The original work is based on the concept of youth'' and a cappella,” and is a project where you can enjoy the youth story of students aiming for “A Opera,” the pinnacle of high school a cappella competitions, and authentic a cappella singing performed by voice actors.
The singing video for the J-POP cover “Hakuji/Pretender”, which started in March 2021 and was released on YouTube as the memorable first song, exceeded 1 million views in one week (7 million views as of April 2024) (played twice), it was in the spotlight.
Since then, they have released original songs and cover songs one after another, and have been developed in various forms such as voice dramas, comics, novelizations, and official cafes. It has also been announced that a 3D live show will be held in 2025, and this content is sure to gain even more momentum in the future.
For this stage adaptation, talented staff have gathered together. In addition to writing and directing scripts and producing original plays that make full use of images, sound, and light for the theater troupe he runs, “MKichi Beat,” he has also written and directed works such as “My Hero Academia,” The “Ultra” Stage, and “PSYCHO-PASS Virtue and Vice 3.” (Director) and the up-and-coming director Tsuneyasu Motoyoshi, who has also worked on numerous hit works such as the musical “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Phantom Blood” (Screenplay and Lyrics).
In addition to working in a wide range of genres as a music director/composer/arranger for the movie Rip Van Winkle's Bride'', the anime Stella’s Magic”, and the musical A Silent Voice'', he has also worked on Moulin Rouge! Mako Kuwabara is also active as a conductor and performer, and was nominated for the First Half Staff Award at the 27th Yomiuri Theater Awards for her original musical “Itsuka~One Fine Day”.
Furthermore, as a cappella supervisor, we will welcome Mr. Torusu, a notable a cappella creator who made his debut as a composer by providing music for the Gospellers, and who has written and arranged numerous songs and is also involved in the production of original music.
