We have received the official report of the solo live show “Miho Okasaki 2nd LIVE 2024 ~Happy Memory~ supported by animelo” held on Saturday, August 10, 2024!
During the live, the release of the first photo book “Okasaki Mihon! ~Precious Days~” and the opening of the second collaboration cafe were announced. Information on special offers was also released.
Voice actress and artist Miho Okasaki’s solo live “Miho Okasaki 2nd LIVE 2024 ~Happy Memory~ supported by animelo” was held on August 10th at the Bunkyo Civic Hall in Tokyo. This live was held about 7 months after the success of her 1st LIVE. Her expressiveness continues to evolve, and she put on a live performance that drew in many fans. We report on the event.
The song chosen to announce the start of the second live concert was their fourth single, “Happy Memo.” This song was performed for the first time at a live concert, and the sing-alongs and shouts between songs got the crowd really excited. The next song was their debut song, “Happiness,” and the crowd was filled with a chorus of “La la la,” and during “MY SPIRAL,” fans spun their penlights around in time with the lyrics. The sense of unity was so great that Okazaki seemed delighted, saying “It’s great!” during the song. The concert had only just begun, but these three songs had already warmed up the venue. Okazaki’s singing voice created a happy time at the concert, and so began.
In the first MC of the live, Okazaki cheerfully said, “Welcome! Hehehe!” Afterwards, she also mentioned her marine costume, which was based on blue and incorporated the image color yellow. Hearing the many calls of “Turn around!”, Okazaki looked satisfied. After the MC, she chose two songs that she also sang in the first live. She performed “Unbelievable Anthem” holding a folding fan, and the call-and-response was even louder than the previous live, bringing Okazaki and the fans even closer to one another. During “Bubbles,” with its deep bass and drum rhythm that penetrated to the bone, shouts of “Ya!” echoed throughout the venue.
After introducing Miho and her supporters (band members), she performed a variety of love songs from her second album, “DREAMING.” First, she performed “Musubi ka-ryoku,” an addictive song with a melody and rhythmic singing style. As she sang “Kataomoi no Sign,” which was full of freshness and a sense of speed, Okazaki looked like a young girl celebrating her youth. After that, she sang “Maybe Heroine” cutely, illuminated by pink and other lighting.
When it was announced during the MC that the live was in the middle, the audience let out a cry of “Eh!”, expressing their feeling that it was “too early!” Okazaki responded with “Wait, wait a second!”, but with a happy look on her face.
During “Kokoro Travel,” chosen as the opening song in the middle of the live, blue penlights lit up the venue, and during “Kaleidoscope,” the color of the penlights that each person held up according to the song they thought suited it created a beautiful scene. Meanwhile, during “Ato, Chotto,” for which she wrote the lyrics, yellow, her image color, blossomed in all its glory. Her singing of these three songs, which she also performed at her first live, was outstandingly stable. It was a part that once again made us feel her excellent singing ability.
After the band members’ performance got the crowd excited, Okazaki appeared from the center stage in a pure white outfit. She sang the dark number “Maboroshi Magic” for the first time at a live performance, which seemed to contradict the outfit. In the song “Mirror,” which also has a dark feel, she deliberately sang lines such as “It’s frustrating” to make it more memorable. Then, in “Yofukashi Dance,” her expressiveness exploded. She carefully sang both the low and high notes, drawing the audience into the world of the song.
During the MC, she announced that she had changed into a white dress-like outfit. She excited the audience with a style that she described as “artistic.” As the concert entered the second half, she encouraged the audience by saying, “Can you get even more excited?”, and expressed the grandeur of “Amber’s Heart Sound” through her singing. She then sang “Starting Bell” with all her heart and soul, raising her arms in the air.
The atmosphere in the venue changed completely during the ballad section that followed. First, she performed an acoustic version of “Freesia,” which was her first attempt. The end of the song had a beautiful sound, and everyone in the venue listened intently. Towards the end, the performance stopped for a moment, and after a period of silence, Okazaki took a deep breath and uttered a voice that gave me goosebumps. During “Kanata Boshi,” the ending theme of the TV anime “THE NEW GATE,” in which she played the role of Yuzuha, a starry sky shone on the stage. The stars shone on her as she effortlessly sang the high notes.
The main part of the show ended with the lead song from their second album, “Star Flower.” In the MC before the song, Okazaki requested, “Show me a beautiful snowy landscape.” In response, the fans one by one turned their penlights white, painting a snowy landscape in midsummer Japan. After the song began and Okazaki gazed up at the sky, she began clapping. The audience responded. During the sing-alongs that were incorporated throughout the show, Okazaki was showered with cheers from the fans, and the song was elevated in response to that. This is truly a “song that is completed in a live performance.” Okazaki left the stage after singing a song that shows great promise for future evolution.
鳴り響く「おみほ」コールに応えて登場したのは、バルーンの動物をお供に携えた岡咲……改め、みほ太郎。岡山県出身の彼女らしく、『ワラウカドニハ!』を歌唱しながら、サイン入りきびだんご(ボール)を客席に投げてプレゼントした。続く『ペタルズ』では、カメラでの撮影がOKの“ハッピーメモリータイム”が設けられる。ライブTシャツ姿になった彼女を写真におさめて、それぞれが今日の思い出を自身のスマートフォンにも残した。
MCでは、目標である“武道館”への夢をファンの方々と改めて宣言する。続く告知パートでは、2024年11月22日に1stフォトブック「おかさきみほん!〜Precious Days(プレシャスデイズ)〜」が発売することを発表。さらに、アーティストデビュー記念日の9月15日に本ライブの模様がU-NEXTで独占配信されること、11月1日から秋葉原・cafe&barMENUにてコラボカフェの開催が決定したことにも触れた。
告知が終わったあとは、いよいよライブも終演の時間。ラストナンバー『インフィニット』を最後まで笑顔を絶やすことなく届けて、幸せなライブの時間は幕を閉じた。
デビュー当時から高い歌唱力で話題となった彼女。今回のライブでは、その歌唱力に加えて表現力に磨きがかかり、集まったファンたちに幸せを届けていた。1stライブでも2ndライブでも口にした夢は、決してすぐに叶うものではないが、一歩、二歩と近づいたことは、間違いない。
