Ogata plays a boy who calls himself “Kikuchiyo.” He is handsome and strong-willed, but his true identity is the shogun, Tokugawa Iemochi. When his life is threatened in the streets of Kyoto, Kikuchiyo is protected by the Miburo soldiers and forms a strong bond with the main character, Oto.

The Shogun is said to have been a young but charming man who was loved by everyone.
