The official report from the Osaka performance on Saturday, October 5, 2024, the first day of the tour, has arrived.
Today, Saturday, October 5th, the first day of voice actress idol Yu Serizawa’s fifth solo tour, “Yu Serizawa 5th Live Tour 2024 ~My Room Fantasy~” was held at umeda TRAD (Osaka).
With the theme of “An invitation to Serizawa Yu’s room,” Serizawa packed this live show with her real-life fantasies, kicking off the tour in the run up to her turning 30 in December. In keeping with the concept of a room, she appeared in fluffy pink loungewear and fluffy slippers, and the show began with Serizawa’s words, “Welcome to my room!”
When she started at full throttle with the popular song “Voice for YOU!” from her debut mini-album “YOU&YOU,” the venue was instantly filled with excitement with her perfectly timed call-and-response. After performing her previously released songs one after the other, showing off her cute charm to the fullest, she performed a cover of a song that was dear to her heart when she still dreamed of becoming a voice actress, as well as a character song that she played. Some of the songs she selected were unexpected, and the audience cheered in surprise and joy.
She also performed “Confession,” a song she wrote herself, which will be included as a coupling track on her new single “ROCK ME KISS ME feat. MOTSU,” to be released on Wednesday, October 30th. This song is an important one for her, as she wrote the lyrics for it, cramming in all the feelings she wants to convey the next time she sees her fans, during the COVID-19 pandemic when they can’t meet. The sight of her looking out over the audience and singing as if she was conveying her love to each person captivated the audience.
Completely changing the atmosphere, Serizawa changed into a pink outfit packed with a dazzling, futuristic style and performed “ROCK ME KISS ME feat. MOTSU”, the opening theme for the second season of the TV anime “MF Ghost”, which will be released on October 30th. When Serizawa began the song with “ROCK ME KISS ME BABY”, the crowd erupted in cheers as if they had been waiting for it. The band members, who wore sunglasses instead of feat. MOTSU, livened up the fast-paced Eurobeat, showing a different side of her from the first half of the show with a performance that was both cool and sexy.
As the live performance continued, the band performed “JUNGLE FIRE feat. MOTSU” (the opening theme for the 1st season of the TV anime “MF Ghost”), which was released last year and has been viewed over 6 million times, becoming their biggest hit. The intense and passionate performance brought the excitement in the venue to a climax, and they continued to carry that momentum through the live performance.
Furthermore, during the encore, there was a time when the performance could be photographed, and the audience member whose birthday it was was asked to choose the song to be performed on the spot, which was decided to be “EVERYBODY! EVERYBODY!”. The audience enjoyed themselves in their own way until the very end, taking photos of the day with their cameras and smartphones in hand, or dancing with all their might with their arms around each other’s shoulders. The evening performance also featured different performances and costumes than the daytime performance, bringing the first day of the tour to a close with much excitement.
While Serizawa is packed with her own particular tastes, the tour is also packed with ideas for the audience to enjoy together, making it an energetic tour. With the turning point of 30 years old approaching, the tour is structured to look back on her past while also raising expectations for her future success.
