Taichi Ichikawa, Yuuma Uchida, Nobuhiko Okamoto, Saori Hayami, and Yoko Hikasa took the stage to look back on the first season of season 2, “The Return of the Prince,” and share their thoughts on the “Workshop Battle.”
In addition, a promotional video using the opening theme “NIGHT” by Stray Kids has also been released. The video is sure to raise expectations as Biore takes on new challenges and challenges.
The five speakers were Ichikawa Taichi, who plays Ju Violet Grace, Uchida Yuuma, who plays Ouji Sei, Okamoto Nobuhiko, who plays Kun Agelo Agnes, Hayami Saori, who plays Rachel, and Hikasa Yoko, who plays Hwaryoung.
Hayami, who appeared on stage for the first time since AnimeJapan2024, said, “The time was before the screening, so I’m happy to be able to speak in front of everyone like this.” Hikasa, who plays a mysterious character, humbly said that she “doesn’t have the slightest bit of mystery about her,” and spoke about her enthusiasm for the event.
The talk started with a look back at the first season of the second season, “The Return of the Prince.” In Kun and Rachel’s first appearance scene, contrary to the lovey-dovey, intimate conversation in the script, they had to try to figure out each other’s intentions without revealing their true feelings, and Okamoto revealed, “It was like two wolves fighting each other. Rachel was so scary that when the director and Hayami were not around, we secretly said to each other, ‘She’s scary.'” Okamoto continued, “Because (Hayami’s) voice sounds like a goddess, it’s hard to believe there’s something ulterior motive. I think Rachel should be grateful to Hayami for her voice!” Hayami revealed her mindset during the dubbing, saying, “This time, the director told me, ‘Rahel is prepared to be hated by everyone,’ and I’m taking that feeling to heart as I act.”
Regarding the scene where Hwayoung appears, Hikasa revealed the difficulties she faced, saying, “It’s been a while since I’ve played a Tower of God character, so I started by tuning up. Since I’m playing several different roles, it was difficult to adjust the way I speak depending on who I’m talking to.” Ichikawa also praised Hikasa, saying, “She’s a character that gives hints to the other characters, so it’s difficult to play each one in the right balance.”
Okamoto said, “In the first season, Miyake Kenta, who plays Lark, livened up the story, but in the second season, I think Ouno worked hard to liven up the story,” and Hikasa also spoke about Ouno’s charm, saying, “He was the sunny side that made you feel at ease.” Uchida said, “Unlike the other characters, Ouno has a straightforward personality. If Ouno didn’t cheer up, this story would have become dark, so I worked hard!” and continued, “I think it was good that I could run with Ouno’s feelings at the time without thinking too deeply about them.”
After reviewing the Prince’s Return, the conversation shifted to the highlights of the workshop battle that will be shown in advance. Hayami, who was teased about making the Prince’s Return a darker episode, said, “There are some lighter parts in the first half of the workshop battle that will make you feel a little better!” Uchida highlighted a certain scene from episode 14 with a big smile and big gestures, but Ichikawa’s comment, “Personally, I want you to look forward to the clash between FUG and the Chibi Team” was chosen as a highlight.
Meanwhile, Okamoto responded, “The part where Biore’s eyes pop out is unexpectedly cute,” to which Ichikawa replied, “I’ve never acted out a scene like that in the Prince’s Return Arc!”. In response to Kun’s cool lines, Ichikawa said, “I’ve overcome my chuunibyou and become a voice actor, so there are a lot of lines I want to say at least once,” highlighting the noteworthy points of the character he plays, but Hikasa snapped, “Please say the part where Biore’s eyes pop out.”
The friendly talk quickly came to an end, and episodes 14 and 15 were screened. Afterwards, the five cast members appeared on stage again in front of the audience who had just finished watching the main story.
The first topic of conversation was the opening song “NIGTH” and ending song “Falling Up” by the theme song artist Stray Kids. Ichikawa commented, “Each song has a different atmosphere. The title of the song “NIGHT” is the same as “night”. Okamoto said, “I thought that Kun had fewer scenes in the opening video compared to Ohno!” The audience burst into laughter.
また、14話では、内田は「王野ってエンドロシが推しなんだと思ってびっくりしました！」と自身の演じるキャラクターへの意外な設定に驚いた様子。先程、内田が見どころとして紹介してみせた笑顔と動きは、エンドロシへの声援だったと答え合わせになりました。早見は「このシーンはクンと、王野&ダンの温度差があって、別のアニメかと思うくらいだった」そう。
岡本&日笠が上げた「ビオレの目が点」という場面に対しても、「助けたのに、あんなこと言われるなんて酷いからね！」とビオレを擁護します。市川も「旅人もビオレに対しては心を許している感じがあるんです」と、新キャラクターの旅人との出会いを懐古。
第15話では、早見は「夜とエンドロシの過去回想シーンってすごくいいなと思いました」と話すと、日笠も「その回想シーンが現在につながっているんですよね」。市川は「かっこいい中でもランとアナクの喧嘩は、どこかクソガキ感が漂っていてかわいい」と、クンが選んだメンバーで実力者の2人の関係性の魅力を感じているそう。
バトルシーンもかなり多い工房戦ですが、内田は「王野は一瞬のシーンを動かす役割を担っています。なので、前クール以上に工房戦でも、ものすごく大きな声で叫んでいます」とアフレコの苦労を語りました。岡本は「みんな淡々としている中で、オイ！とツッコミを入れてくれるのは王野しかいないので助けられています。（雑に扱っているように見えて）実は一目置いているんですよ」。
早見は「皆さんが一緒に楽しくアフレコしている中、私はずっと1人でアフレコに挑んでいます」と苦しい心のうちを吐露。「今はまだ登場していないですけど、ちゃんと生存していますからね！」と、観客に念押し。ダンの足を滅多刺ししたことにかけて、内田に「次にラヘルは誰の足を狙うんですかね」と会場の笑いを誘いました。
岡本は「色々な部分も含めて、神之塔の魅力であるバトルシーンにつながっていくのかどうか楽しみですね。クンは耳元でささやくシーンが多いのですが、他のビオレや王野のバトルシーンも楽しみにしています」とこれからの放送に向けて語りました。
日笠は「ファリョンは自分の目的のために、どうやったら夜を強くできるのか、周りを動かすことができるのかということを考えています。そう言った部分に注目していただくと、先回りしたフラグを感じてゾッとする部分もあると思います。駆け引き含めて注目して下さい」と、自身のキャラクターの今後の注目ポイントを最後に語りました。
早見は、「ダークサイドもより描かれていたと思いますが、短いながらもインパクトのあるシーンについて話すことができて嬉しいです。ここから工房戦がどのような結末を迎えるのか楽しみです」と締めくくりました。
岡本は、「こうやって神之塔について話す機会が少なかったのです。ラヘルのここが怖かった！という部分を集めた上映会をやりたいなと思ってます！僕が受けた臨場感を大きなスクリーンで楽しんでいただきたいと思います」と、最後まで早見をいじりました。早見からが「それなら、クンの生アフレコもやりましょうよ！」と提案すると、観客からも「聞きたい！」と歓声が上がり、この日一番の大きな拍手に会場が包まれました。
内田「改めまして、本日は誠にありがとうございました。明るい要素も暗い要素も混ざりながら、みんな一生懸命に向き合って塔を登っています。果たして、皆さんの前で生アフレコができるのかという部分にかかっていますので、最後までどうぞ応援の程、宜しくお願い致します」
市川「工房戦は本当に原作ファンの皆さんにとっても、注目している部分だと思います。僕たちも皆さんの期待に応えられるようなクオリティでお届けできるように、精一杯アフレコを頑張ってきました。1話1話余すことなく、楽しんでいただけたらと思います。ビオレが報われて夜になる日を皆さんで見届けましょう！」
