Autumn anime “MF Ghost” 2nd Season Serial Interview Part 2: Kamiya Hiroshi, who plays Mikhail Beckenbauer | Watch his amazing run!”MF Ghost” (original work: Shuichi Shigeno) is the “successor” to “Initial D”. In the first season of the TV anime, which aired in 2023, Katagiri Kanata’s qualifying time attack for the “Lake Ashi GT” was shown, and the final episode reached a climax of excitement.

The sequel, Season 2, will finally start on October 6, 2024!

Takumi Fujiwara’s student Natsumi Katagiri, the genius who returned from France Mitsuteru Sawatari, and the young “emperor” of MFG, Michael Beckenbauer… Anticipation is building for how these three and other drivers will battle it out on Lake Ashi.

Animate Times conducted email interviews with the cast! The second interview is with Kamiya Hiroshi, who plays Mikhail Beckenbauer. Now that the second season is upon us, we asked him about his impressions of Mikhail Beckenbauer, what to look out for in the future, and the appeal of this series.

–After performing the role, what do you feel is the most appealing aspect of Mikhail?

Hiroshi Kamiya (Mikhail Beckenbauer): Mikhail is a solitary character, so he has no ties to the other characters. Rather than racing, he focuses on himself and is focused on winning as a stepping stone to his career. It may be up to the individual to decide whether his selfishness is irritating or appealing.

–Mikhail’s impression is very different when he is talking to his sister Agnes and in the racing scenes. I think the on/off between racing and everyday life is one of the points to pay attention to, but how did you interpret this on/off when acting?

Kamiya: I think it’s a behavior that comes from their age and the special relationship they have as siblings. That said, his selfishness is also a part of his personality that comes from his confidence, so when he talks to his sister, who understands this, he may seem like a different person than when he’s racing.

–What scenes would you personally like people to pay attention to before the broadcast and what message would you like to give to the fans who are looking forward to the broadcast?

Kamiya: Mikhail will continue to lead the way in the second season. Be sure to watch his overwhelming run!
