A report on the first large-scale exhibition of “Overlord”, “The Overlord Exhibition”! It’s packed with highlights, including newly recorded voiceovers, production materials for the anime, and valuable materials from the original work! The original series has sold over 14 million copies, and the popular Overlord movie, Overlord: Holy Kingdom Arc, will begin screening on Friday, September 20th. (The IMAX version will be released in advance on Friday, September 13th, 2024.)

The series’ first large-scale exhibition, “Overlord Exhibition,” will be held at Space 634 in Skytree Town Solamachi from Saturday, September 14th to Sunday, September 29th.

The exhibition is packed with highlights, including newly recorded voice recordings of characters and production materials for the anime. Photo spots recreate memorable scenes from the show, and more, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the world of the show. Prior to the opening, the exhibition was previewed for the press, so we went to check it out right away!

Upon entering the venue, you first enter the “Yggdrasil Area,” a long corridor that recreates the scene at the beginning of the game as the time approaches for the service to end.

Then there’s a black curtain with the words 23:59:00 written on it. When you pull it back…

There, along with a sign for the “Overlord Exhibition”, you will find a throne room where Ainz and his companions will welcome you!

Here you can see a video of welcome messages from Ainz, Albedo, and Demiurge, so be sure to take a good look (filming the video is prohibited, so please see for yourself).

If you follow the path, you will first arrive at the area dedicated to the first season of the TV anime. There are many iconic scenes and original drawings from the first season of the TV anime lined up. There is also a photo spot that recreates the scene where Ainz unleashes his super-tier magic, so be sure to take some photos.

If you continue walking further in, you will reach the area for the second season of the TV anime.

Here too, in addition to the document exhibits, there was a photo spot called “Shalltear’s Punishment” and an experience spot called “Remote View Mirror.”

Once you leave the hallway that leads to the throne room, you’ll move on to the exhibition area, where you’ll find a world map and plenty of setting materials, as well as a corner that displays reproductions of items that appear in the series.
