From late night on Friday, August 30th to Saturday, August 31st, a midsummer screening of all episodes of the anime “ATRI -My Dear Moments-” “Because it’s High Performance” was held at Shinjuku Wald 9.

Due to the fact that all episodes were completed ahead of broadcast and the anniversary of the original game, this event was a long screening of the anime alone, lasting approximately 5 hours and 30 minutes.

The talk event before the screening featured the film’s director Makoto Kato, TROYCA producer Nagano, and Aniplex producer Kataoka. Despite it being a late-night show, many fans packed into the special late-night screening.

During the talk event, when asked about his thoughts on completing the first 13 episodes, Producer Nagano commented, “First of all, I want to be praised for what we’ve been able to do!”, which drew applause from the audience.

From their conversation, it is clear that they feel relieved that the anime was completed well ahead of schedule, rather than around the time of the final episode.

Director Kato also commented, “It fills my heart to see what I’ve created being shown on the big screen,” and shared an episode in which he worked on all the episodes with the mindset of a “theatrical production” rather than a “TV anime,” working with series composer Hanada Tokki.

The venue was attended by many people who had already played the original game and were familiar with the story, as well as many fans who discovered the series through the anime. The director and Mr. Nagano also raised expectations for a rollercoaster-like development in the story, saying, “Up until episode 7, the story was mostly light-hearted, but we hope you will look forward to the sudden change in the story at the end of episode 8, which aired today.”

The director also commented on what to look forward to until the final episode, saying, “I wonder how that episode from the original will be portrayed in the film. I can’t wait for everyone to see the final episode, which was carefully storyboarded and directed.”

At the end of the talk event, Producer Nagano said, “It’s a long event, like a test, but the 13 episodes are filled with the director’s thoughts. If you can watch it until the end, it will have been worth it for us to have made it.”

The director also commented, “I’m sure you’re all wondering how the final episode ends. Today we’ll have the answer, and I hope you’ll find it with your own eyes and ears,” and the talk event came to a close.

After the event, there was a photo session where a sneak preview of Atori in the upcoming story was projected onto the screen, and then, at around 4:40 AM, when all 13 episodes had been screened, the audience, who had watched the entire series, burst into spontaneous applause, bringing the screening event to a close.
