Eight Kyons announce the release date of “Haruhi Suzumiya Theater”! As both the original manga and the anime series are hugely popular, attention was focused on its developments. On August 31st, the final day of Endless Eight, eight people who appeared to be store employees wearing Kyon masks appeared at Animate Akihabara.

August 31, 2024, the last day of summer vacation. Just when you thought things would be as usual at Animate Akihabara, there was something extremely strange about it…

There was a person who looked like a store clerk wearing a mask of Kyon from “The Haruhi Suzumiya”! On his chest was written “15,498th lap” along with his name. This number is reminiscent of the Endless Eight, in which Kyon and his friends repeated the two weeks from August 17th to August 31st 15,498 times in the story.

Just as the situation makes you think, “Could this world really be like this?”, one after another, staff members wearing Kyon masks appear in the store. As everyone is in a commotion wondering what will happen next, just after the eighth staff member appears, it is announced that the release date for the latest volume, “The Haruhi Suzumiya Theater,” has been set for November 29, 2024, and that pre-orders will begin on September 2 at Animate stores nationwide and on Animate Online!

In conjunction with the announcement, promotional posters will be displayed in both Buildings 1 and 2. Animate Akihabara is all about “Haruhi Suzumiya”, from the exterior showcases to the staircase walls, the light novel corner, and more! What’s more, among the posters is a notice saying “SOS Brigade Theater Staff Wanted”!
