This year, the cast will include Maria Naganawa (Cure Wonderful/Inukai Komugi), Atsumi Tanezaki (Cure Friendy/Inukai Iroha), Hayate Matsuda (Cure Nyamie/Nekoyashiki Yuki), Reina Ueda (Cure Rilian/Nekoyashiki Mayu), Chihaya Yoshitake (opening theme singer), Ami Ishii (ending theme singer), Moeha Ushiromoto (ending theme singer), Machico (former Pretty Cure singer), and Rie Kitagawa (former Pretty Cure singer). This stellar cast will color the new beginning of the 21st year of “Pretty Cure,” which celebrated its 20th anniversary last year.
Every year, Animate Times delivers a relay interview about the “PreCure Live.” Our seventh guest is Tanezaki Atsumi, who plays Cure Friendee/Inukai Iroha. She seems genuinely looking forward to hearing everyone’s voices on the day. In addition to her enthusiasm for the live, we asked her via email about the songs included in the “Wonderful PreCure! Vocal Album ~We are Wonderful!!!!” released in July, and about the merchandise she is interested in. Please also pay attention to Naganawa’s answers to her questions.
–Looking back from when you started recording “Wanpuri” to today, have you noticed any changes in your feelings or realizations?
Atsumi Tanezaki (hereinafter, Tanezaki): I had been holding myself back from letting my feelings for the work overflow, telling myself “I have to stay calm…” so there weren’t any particular changes. I had been feeling pretty big about the work from the beginning, so I was disciplining myself. However, there’s no doubt that I love the work, the cast, and the staff even more now.
プリキュアは20年以上続くシリーズものでありつつ、毎年違うメンバーで作り上げるオリジナル作品でもあります。シリーズものならではの長く受け継がれてきたもの、オリジナルならではの今しか作れない新しいものをみんなで同じ方向を向いて作るぞという気持ち、そして作品を応援してくださる皆さんの大きな想い。それらが詰まった作品なんてそんなの大切になりすぎるくらい大切になるに決まっています。分かってはいましたが案の定そうなっています。
でも大切な作品を作る大切な時間って当たり前ですがどんどんすぎていくので、もうただただ瞬間瞬間を全力でやるだけだなぁと、今改めて感じています。
――前回お話をうかがった際に「全プリキュア20th Anniversary LIVE！」をご覧になったことを教えていただきました。また、『映画プリキュアオールスターズＦ』ではプリキュアの先輩たちの息の合い方に驚いたといった話をされていました。今回はライブを通じて、みなさんがプリキュアという作品ならではの絆の強さを感じさせてくれるのではないかなと思っています。前置きが長くなってしまいましたが、種﨑さんは今回のライブではどのようなところを大切にしていきたいですか？
種﨑：『わんだふるぷりきゅあ！』はワンダフル、フレンディ、ニャミー、リリアン4人の絆はもちろんですが、犬組ならでは、猫組ならではの絆もとても大切に描かれています。今回のライブでも4人集まった時とその二組ならではの時で、それぞれ違ったわんだふるでにゃんだふるな時間をお届けできたらいいなぁと思いました！
